What are Remedi AQUA Powder and Pucks?

Remedi AQUA Powder and Pucks are two delivery formats of a six-strain biological treatment for compatible ponds, lakes, water gardens, fish farms, hatcheries, and slow-flow water systems. They are designed to help process organic debris, sludge, and muck that can contribute to cloudy water and organic odors.
The key difference is where the treatment is delivered: powder supports broad distribution through the surface and water column, while pucks sink for targeted bottom-zone treatment.

Should I use powder or pucks?

Choose the delivery format based on the location of the organic buildup:

  • Use powder when broad surface and water column distribution is needed.
  • Use pucks when bottom sludge, muck,.com coves, or localized areas need direct treatment.
  • Use the product label and project plan to determine whether one format or a combined approach is appropriate.
What problems can aqua powder and pucks help address?

Their are designed to help manage organic material associated with:

  • Bottom sludge, and muck
  • Decaying, vegetation and leaf letter
  • Uneaten feed and animal waste
  • Runoff related organic buildup
  • Cloudy or discolored water linked to organic loading
  • Organic odors in compatible aquatic systems

they do not replace correction of major nutrient, inputs, sewage in flow, toxic, contamination, or severe sediment accumulation.

How do the powder and pucks work?

The biological consortium is designed to use organic materials as a food source. In suitable conditions, this helps reduce the organic loading that supports sludge, buildup, oxygen demand, water discoloration, and odor formation.

Powder, dissolves and distributes more broadly. Puck sync, dissolve, and release treatment toward the bottom zone sludge layer.

How do I apply aqua powder?
  1. Confirm the water volume and follow the current label dosage.
  2. Apply powder directly to the water surface for broad dispersion, or mix it with pond or lake water before application.
  3. Apply near circulation, aeration, or a pump return when practical.
  4. Use water soluble packets only as directed by the product label.
  5. Maintain aeration and monitor water conditions during treatment.
How do I apply aqua pucks?

Play sparks directly in the water where they can sink toward the sludge or McClair. Use the designated puck size and distribution pattern for the project.

  • Distribute Park broadly for wide area treatment.
  • Place pucks in target zones for localized sludge buildup.
  • For deep water, use pucks when bottoms on delivery is needed.
  • Do not assume surface applied powder will reach deep bottom sediment.
What dosage should I use?

Always follow the current product label and project specific plan. The supply technical information list, different dosage schedules for the two delivery formats:

Powder:

  • Shock: 1 LB per 300,000 gallons on the stated schedule;
  • Maintenance: 1 LB per 300,000 gallons weekly.

 Pucks:

  • Shock: 1 LB per 500,000 gallons on the stated schedule
  • Maintenance: 1 LB per 500,000 gallons weekly.

Because dosage, application frequency, water, depth, temperature, and organic loading very by project, verify the final label before treatment.

How soon will I see results?

Biological treatment is gradual. In favorable condition conditions, microbial activity begins after application, but visible change in sludge, water clarity, or odor may require required, repeated applications over several weeks.
Results depend on water, temperature, dissolve, oxygen, aeration, circulation, depth, organic loaded, nutrient, inputs, and whether source material continues entering the water body.

Do I still need aeration and pond maintenance?

Yes. Biological treatment works best as one part of a complete water management program.

  • Maintain aeration and circulation
  • Remove excessive leaves, dead, vegetation, and floating debris
  • Manage runoff, feed practices, and stocking density
  • Monitor dissolved oxygen and water quality, especially in stocked ponds or aquaculture systems
  • Use mechanical removal or dredging when sediment accumulation is excessive
Are aqua powder and pucks and algaecide or fish treatment?

No. These products should not be positioned as biological treatments for organic loading, sludge, and muck - not as algaecides, fish, medicines, antibiotics, or pathogen control products.
Do not claim algae, killing, deceased, treatment, or pathogen control unless the final product has the necessary testing, labeling, and regulatory authorization.
