FAQs

What is REMEDI BIO-ABSORB?
REMEDI BIO-ABSORB is a dry biological absorbent and odor-control powder for organic-waste cleanup. The supplied
product materials describe it as combining absorbent materials, beneficial bacteria and enzymes, and an
odor-modification component.
What types of cleanup is it intended for?
It is positioned for organic-waste events involving fats, grease, food waste, fluids, sludge-forming residue, and wastewater-related cleanup. Typical settings described in the supplied materials include food service, wastewater facilities, hospitals, schools, hospitality, and facility management programs.
How is BIO-ABSORB applied?
Apply the dry powder by hand, scoop, or shovel. Cover the affected area, extending beyond the visible spill or backup as appropriate for the situation. Use the current product label and your site procedure for the final application method and amount.
Does it require special equipment?
The product materials state that no special application equipment is required. For large, complex, or regulated cleanup events, however, follow the facility response plan and use trained personnel and appropriate equipment.
How does it help with odors?
The product materials describe an odor-modification component intended to address malodor molecules, while the
biological ingredients support the processing of compatible organic residue. Odor results depend on the source, amount of material, ventilation, contact time, and cleanup conditions.
What happens after it is applied?
Allow the material to contact and absorb the affected organic waste. Then collect, contain, and dispose of the spent absorbent and waste according to the site waste-handling plan and applicable local requirements. BIO-ABSORB supports cleanup; it does not eliminate disposal obligations.
Can BIO-ABSORB replace cleaning, disinfection, or professional response?
No. It is an absorbent and odor-control aid. It does not replace required site cleanup, decontamination, disinfection, containment, reporting, or disposal procedures. It also does not substitute for a qualified response when an event is large, hazardous, or regulated.
Can it be used for a sewage backup?
The supplied technical data describes development for sewer-backup treatment. However, sewage can carry infectious
organisms and other hazards. Follow the facility’s response plan and applicable local requirements; use trained personnel and appropriate protective measures based on the actual hazard assessment.
Do I need PPE when using BIO-ABSORB?
The product itself may have a favorable safety profile, but PPE requirements cannot be determined by the product alone. They depend on the material being cleaned up, splash and aerosol potential, site conditions, and employer or local requirements. For sewage or human-waste cleanup, public-health and occupational guidance recommends protective equipment such as gloves, boots, eye protection, and protective clothing as appropriate.
Where can I get final safety and disposal directions?
Use the current product label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS), plus your facility’s spill-response plan and local waste-disposal rules. When the source material is unknown, large in volume, or potentially hazardous, contact the appropriate qualified facility, environmental, or emergency-response resource.
